Mackerel Lures, Have been collecting these over the last few months and i think the collection is near complete. Maybe give them a swim on Monday, weather permitting, there is a range of lures recomended by different people, everybody has a favourite and there not the same and also what i found suprising is size some people big and some small.

Sol rod 6-10lb

Heartland XA 2000

1 spool Castaway 10lb

1 spool Castaway 16lb

Spotters Coyote, in gold lense - I couldn't belive how much of a difference these made, how comfortable they are and how strong they are.

Various lures from Maria, Lucky Craft, Halco - from small stick baits and 35mm hardbodies, through to 80g tremblers and 50g Slugs.

Sunline Rockfish FC leader 10lb, 20lb.

Next is a sol 4000 for my Jewel 5-8kg with some nice braid

Also been looking for a sweet light setup (the sol and heartland should be good for whiting through to smaller barra and doggies) but I want something for proper breaming / whitinging ...

Was thinking 1000 stradic ci4 with some 4lb braid, but I can't decide on a rod - lets say with a budget of 3-400 bucks? Any tips / hints?

Mate I'm a bit biased, but a Lox Yoshi 1-3kg is magic. The only problem is finding someone in Brisbane that stocks it. But you should be able to get it for around $200. Its 7"6, 2 piece, comes with a hard case and a $50 swap any half warranty where if you break it, no questions asked they'll replace that half.

I've got 3 of these rods.

Just got one of my orders delivered.. I'll take a pic and load it up soon.

My new Daiwa RegalPlus 500BRi arrived today from the US cost me 82 bucks inc post and saved myself $50. Love the exchange rate at the moment B)

Was going to get a new rod once the reel turned up but turns out it balanced perfectly on a wlison 10kg ocean spin I bought years ago but never used and is basically brand new :woohoo: , so saved myself a few bucks there and have a nice combo for snapper.
