Well, as the title suggests I'm interested to see what 4wd's other members are driving. This has been brought about by a strange renewed love for my own fourby, my mighty Toyota Surf. Post up pics and also tell us about any mods you have performed to improve both on and offroad performanceThis could be a great way to see other members out and about also, if you see mine getting around give me a wave or come up and say g'day.

Righto, mine is a 1992 Toyota Surf SSR-X (import) with the slooooow 2.4 EFI turbo diesel donk. I have fitted her up with a couple of inches of suspension, 31 inch AT's, Safari snorkel, proper dual battery system (as opposed to dodgy factory job)and a pair of spotties on the front. Also I've replaced the weak factory head with a 2.8 version and while I was at it put in the 2.8 cam which gave improved highway performance. I have also fitted a 2.5 inch exhaust from the front half back and removed all mufflers. Boost has been wound up to 12.5psi via a cheap ebay boost controller. There are a few other little bits and pieces but that is really about it for now. It's not the flashest, toughest, quickest or most economical fourby getting around but it gets me off road every now and then and I know it from front to back having done all the work on it myself so it'll do for now.

this is my 2000 hilux, it's got bull bar brush bars, side steps, 12000lb elec winch.

it's been rust proved & has elec rust prevention,

air bags under the back, under tray tool box & water tank, dvd players, uhf,

snorkel & heaps more.

i use it for 4wding but still like to keep it looking good.

Mines a GU Patrol 2000 mod. 6 inch EFS extreme lift, adjustable panard rods, extractors, 2 3/4 inch sports exhaust, snorkel, bully, 9000 warn winch, crappy bfg 33' muddies etc etc. The plan was that my brother and I were going to compete in the winch challenges and other fourby events but the dollars kept rolling and never stopped so we didn't bother in the end

It needs some work, its starting to get pretty bad driving it, the slightest bump sends it shaking/wobbling and it needs some new rubber.

This is my first 4wd, A 93 Terrano 2.7 turbo deisel picked up pretty cheap but needed work. Has 2inch rancho lift, dual batteries. Just replaced clutch and put on new 31's. Need to do the cv's and get some roof racks for the yak and then we are ready for action!

The wagons are great den you wont regret it, I have a 4.8 and it hammers only thing is they cant run duel battery set ups cos of abs and run different discs and callipers so liliting yourself to 16in rims and ribber

thanks mate, only thing i can tell ya is stick to the diesel if you change, i went 6cyl 4.5 dual fuel petrol and gas and it sucks fuel and is pretty gutless up hills, hence why im doing extractors and exhaust

2010 GU4 ST. Stock std until out of warranty,just bullbar, spotties and tow bar, to come is Exhaust, upgrade turbo & inter cooler.Will be fitting new rubber next year before crossing the Simpson to Alice.

10,000Ks last month to Darwin, Kakadu etc

Parked at "Shady Camp" for lunch.

Set up for touring, all the rear seats removed and floors fitted up to the front seats (only a 2 seater)

My 1992 suzuki sierra, this is my first car its a 1.3l 4cylinder petrol engine. have recently just got my p,s so will probably see me around hopefully. havent done alot to it just spotties and a new stereo and that. hopefully upgrade to a surf next year and deck it out to a full out fishing vehicle. i do love this car though as it has plenty of character and a great first car and has only done 152 000 km's.

Mines a 1991 80 series with 440k on clock, 9000lb warn winch, spottie, Pirelli A/T on chromies and BFG A/T on 15x8 sunnies as well. Got UHF CD. 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust, new paint, ark windows. Holds 140L diesel as standard but am thinking of fitting another 150ltr tank where the standard reserve is. I paid $7500 for it bargain!

This was my first 4x4, 1991 NH Pajero - Short Wheel Base. It was a great little first car and I learnt heaps doing all the work myself. Had a 2" lift, 31" BFG all terrains, snorkel, front Lokka (freakin awesome!) Doof Doof sterio with DVD player and plenty of other little bits.

Eventually I got sick of breaking things and not fitting into carparks. The pajero is actually still sitting in the back yard waiting for me to take some photos and throw it for sale for a few hundred bucks so if anyone wants a bit of a project PM me.

Now I have one of these, unbreakable and only used to get me up the beach a few times a year and towe the tinny. Only real plan is some good rubber, and a winch if I decide to head up the cape.

Loving the fourbies guys keep them coming. Ross that's a great little suzi there mate they're an awesome rig, if you get a Surf next can I recommend getting a 3 litre manual, you'll be much happier with it. Wish I had done the same

This was my 2001 Ford F150. 4.6L V8 Triton motor. Luverne Step up bars. Spray in bedliner. 4 door extended cab. Sadly, I wasn't able to bring it over here and ended up having a friend sell it for me. Once I can get permanent residency sorted, I'll go after a Jeep Wrangler.

Here is mine its a 2010 GU ST Diesel 3ltr purchased new begining of this year i have added a few extras to it like leather interior,alpine indash audio system, duel battery system, engal 40ltr,spotties,colour coded steel bar with a 9.5 ton winch, in dash uniden uhf, windcheater roof rack, aftermarket bolt on winch points, snorkal and electronic rust protection..

And this was my first 4x4 i got back in 1999 it was a great machine and as a teen i put it through hell and back and the good ol paj never let me down.

I intent to put some wheels and a suspention lift kit on it.

Its great on the Hwy and not bad off road.

Whiskers I see you found the Pig Pen, I sunk my Hilux in the biggest pit a few years ago and have never been in 'deep' mud since, it cost 1200 roughly to put it back on the road Did you go for mud bulls?
