Headed up to Baroon this morning, got there to quick and had to wait 20mins for the electric gate to open. Was in to much of a hurry when I left home as I left the raincoat behind and it was a wet looking site when daylight finaly showed.I was nearly going to turn around and go home, but as there was no whitecaps on the water I decided to give it a go. Well lucky I had an umbrella in the car and a good life jacket to keep me dry.

Fishing was great with several 50cm models hungry for shrimp, lures were very slow. Managed 51 bass by 9am and then had to hightail it back to the ramp as the rain got heavier and the wind got dangerous.I put both electrics on full throttle and with the umbrella held firmly I made the trip back to the ramp one to remember, wind was so bad I drove the boat straight up the road and onto the trailer, ( believe it or not )

Now you'll have to spend all weekend grinding the gravel gouges off the bottom of the tinny

Nice one mate. There are some solid fish there! I am yet to get a 50+

Worth the effort by the looks. I will have to get some wheels on my boat so I can do the same trailer maneuver
