No, too hard without knowing the conditions and how small you are. That's why it would be best to ask those questions at BCF. What did they say when you went yesterday ?

I'd ditch the biddies and use pillies.

Use 3 x 4/0 gangs hooks. Tru Turn brand is my preference.

Where are you going to target tailor, rocks or just in the surf ? I don't know of any rocks on South Straddie except for the Seaway. Are you fishing at the Seaway ?

its a 16ft tinnny all my mates are running 20lb braid and 32lb flouro for trevs were going around south strattie, the broadwater, wavebreak and pretty much any good places for trevs what hooks would you reccomend and what swivels also is 20lb braid and 30lb flouro good for trevs and what sinkers

we have 3 years of experiance but most of that ive spent fishing for bream and flatties but i whanna tackle trevs 4 of us are going for 4 days

20lb braid and 30lb leader sounds pretty good for what you are chasing. I would probably have 20lb and 40lb leader in case needed. Swivel size/strength will be on the packets, just match it to your line.  Sinker size will depend on current and water depth - you will want a range of sizes, probably from size 0 to size 5 (maybe also size 6 but not many) should cover you. Hook size depends on the size of the bait and what you are chasing. If using live bait I would use circle hooks - a selection of 2/0 - 5/0 should cover your options. Snell two hooks for any larger baits.

Good luck! If you can catch some winter whiting in the channels, they would make a great live bait .

lol my mates caught 5 snapper and a big gt on a sugapen but as soon as i arrived and we went fishing we got nothin looking forward to spending 980$ on rods and reels im gonna buy a baitcaster setup for 500$ and a spin setup for 500$ any good picks btw the rods and reels you reccomend must be for trevs and mangrove jacks im gonna buy the mmd splashie and a 95mm sugapen please respond with good options no trolls

Why not just buy what your mates are using? Seems to be working for them. When you say “a big GT” what size are talking? 2kg or 50kg? Just a word of advice for you: most questions on this site take more than 30 minutes to be answered. I used to fish with an old bloke at Port Headland years ago,

I had pretty good gear and he had hand lines and he outfished me 

every time off the beach.

I don't think spending big dollars on gear will solve any problems.

Look at what your mates are using/doing and follow their lead
