In keeping with the trend, biggest fish would have been a flattie of similar size to Jamie (Polyphonics) caught on a ganged whole squid.

As for best overall catch, would have to say my current girlfriend, you know a little boat ride out, picnic on the sand, bit of bubbly in the afternoon sun and even I start looking alright! (Had to write this, she told me so)

my personal best capture at the Pin is the lizard in my avatar pic.....taken on an Atomic 4 inch prong.

However, my brother has caught a 79 cm tailor in the same area. It ate a slab bait of tailor flesh.

92cm flattie on live mullet in cobby passage, 48cm whiting on a yabby near slipping sands or a jewie from the pin taken on a live tailor which went 8kg, just a smidge over a metre. the whiting and jewie were taken before digital camera were invented... :laugh:

most of my best catches from the pin were back in the late '70s and early '80s but some highlites were

10 lbs tailor(not one but a session)

50+ lbs jew(at least 4 that i can remember)

a lot of big trevs and huge lizards
