Brian, here i was wondering all this time whether you could read or not, or whether you just look at the pretty pictures ....... ☺

Better stock up on the jigs !

Soon, they'll be 79cm ☺

I look forward to it ☺

Don't give up the darts - the pics just wouldn't be the same ☺ lol

Yep, I can read. I read your BnB article several many times over as well as stuff you shared here. I even read lots of other articles. A 79 is on its way this winter I'm sure.

Me too when I'm capable (still haven't figured out the squid).

I just hate unpacking the jigs.
I just hate rigging up the jig.
I just hate the way the jigs get caught on your shirt.
I just hate the way they get caught on your shorts.
I just hate the way they stick into your fingers.
I just hate having to steer the boat around the pilons.
I just hate that Leo is having all the fun.

Apart from that I like collecting bait. haha

I will happily do all of that. Never used bait jigs, but they seem so much more fun than slogging away with a cast net!

Accumulation innings.  Hot out there today?

It was a stinker at my school today, Steve. Just makes me think we haven't really had any really 'hot' heat waves yet this Summer. Looks like there's going to be a big storm tonight though...

Cheers Hamish

You need one of those bait jig rods.

I haven't got one atm. They're about $60.

I did knock one up out of sparkie conduit. Even flared the end. Worked well however the line does cut into the conduit at the tip. The bait jig rod would work out cheaper (time and effort wise) in the long run.

Just when I vowed to lay off the fishing purchases for awhile....

I will get one. Cheers

They are great for storage but they are not nice to use in deep water as they truly are a broomstick.

I love it in 20m or so though. It was a great thing to have out at the reef as you can just put it away and it is ready for next time.

Pro tip is to only use a small reel. Something like a 3000 size. The bigger reels make a bump bump thingo as you wind them in as the bail arm is too long and pulls at too sharp an angle.
