queensland Hinze 5/3/08 Sour Note.

Went to Hinze this am.Usual couple of inconsiderate whallys parked in turning area and side of ramp.

Ended up with around 15 legal bass and around 7 unders all on bait before 8am.

Then trolled and thtrw spinners with no result till 1200 when we returned to ramp.

When we launched there was a guy fishing from the bank and he told us he caught a 2 ft toga on squid last week and he said that he never misses out and gets yellas and silvers and bass all the time.

When we returned there was around 20 bass and a couple of grunters and spangled all with their throats cut floating on the waters edge.All the fish were around 4 to 6 inches long.

We saw the rangers go past when we were fishing and think that he dumped the fish and did a runner when he saw the rangers. If we see him there again we will ring the fisheries hotline and give them his car rego number.

Nithing on sponners or trilling. I mainly threw spinners all day and mates bait fished. Fish were above dead grass in 20 feet of water and fish were sitting at around 14 feet.

Could see them at all depths while trolling.

all the bass in hinze are now deep...the weed is starting to die...dext time try the deeper water they are schooling up there

Hi Ray

You should sent that info to the fishing mags with the picts. You never know, the guy might even read it and think twice about it next time. Put some of the quotes with it too...so he does think about it!
