Dont Know if I will be able to attend yet it will depend on work. But I will just sleep in the boat either in the river or if the weather permits on the reef. Will just need to park the car and trailer at the camp as it has the beer fridge in it

Ok guys,

Am booked in for this now! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now all I need is a campsite and a boat.

Anyone want to share the costs for a tent site? I dont take up much space and can pay my way.

As for a Deckie Spot, those who know me know I can be very helpful, and possibly lucky

(note SOO Flathead winner 2009) but lets not talk about my bad luck for 'tis livin

Anyhoo, want to come along for a good fun fish and the usual shenanigans,

Let me know if you would like the company/cash/bait/beer or baked goods!

Mooks

u can camp on our site .

rang this morning got me a water front site ,yeah :woohoo: .

only me and the mrs this year ,so no noise kids .lol.

i prob make more noise than them anyways .

its a unpowered site but that ok .

going to travel lighter this year ,just a tent ,tarp ,esky ,etc .

2 nights no real need for power.

taking the tinny this year ,so u can squeeze on it with us if u need to .

don't know if the mrs will be out with me all the time anyways .

i reckon there will be decky spots ,down there anyways .

i drive it trav style now ,flat out and gorn .

but i won't be able to do that with the mrs about ,she doesn't have the same sense of adventure as me .

WOO HOO i cant wait mate!

by the way guys, will a 3.1M tinny with a 6hp motor survive down there?

Perfect Wally.

Check google maps. Its a nice little river for a set up like that.

perfect for the river wally .

i'm taking down my little tinny this year.

last year i took the canoe ,it was ok ,but near the bar/rive mouth where the bigger boats are.the wash from the bigger boats is a pain in the canoe ,just no free board in the canoe and the wash come over the side .

up river the canoe would be the go and tinny for bar/mouth to the camping area part of the river .

Tinny like that will thrive down there mate - plenty of river for it. You'll have a ball

A question for those who have stayed at Ferry Reserve camp grounds.

Can we anchor our boats out front of the camp sites for the duration of our stay or is it wise to take our boats out after our daily fishing adventures are over.

actually 2 Q`s..

whats the river bed out front of camp sites, mud or sand.

cheers Gad

i asked the lady at the office the same question and she said it would be a good idea to bring the boat out of the water.

its a rock wall bank at the park .

there is a sand part for boats and steps down to the sand .

i think last year a lot of boats stayed in the water ,glass and ally .

there is only room for so many .
