Accomodation:

There are Cabins available as well as fantastic camping grouds at this camp site. Cabin reservations will be first in first served, however some preference will be given to the ladies. Hope you don’t mind gentlemen. The camping sites are non powered but flat and comfortable. If you don’t mind camping please consider this option to benefit those that simply don’t have the equipment.

Boating:

Some boats and canoes are available for hire from Sports Tuition. Power boats are allowed on Maroon Dam which should open up the range of boats AFO members can bring. People with their own boats are encouraged to bring them so that more non boaters may attend.

Rates:

Please consider this section very very carefully. When you book via email I will need ALL required information as I will be juggling very different needs and wants from each person. When you book please itemise each addition (if any) above the base rate with associated price so I receive a list of what you have booked and what you have paid.

Base Rate: $75.00 (Includes catering, entry into the competition).

Camping Both Nights: $30.00 Per person.

Cabins Both Nights: $50.00

Full Days Boat Hire (4 People): $95.00*

Full Days Canoe Hire (2 People): $85.00*

Full Days Kayak Hire: $35.00 (1 Person)

Fishing Rod: $5.00 Per person per day.

Tent: Six-man family or two-man $10.00 per night.

Stretcher Bed $5.00 per night

Air Mattress $2.00 per night

Live Shrimp: TBA

*Payments for boats will be taken in one instalment. So it’s up to a nominated representative of a “crew” to book and pay for the boat/canoe, and he can collect the contributions from his deckies. There are limited boats so the first 6 “Captains (person paying the full price) to book will the first served.

In this way you will see that if someone brings their own boat and camps… They will only be paying $105 where in the past it would have been $150-$180…

In contrast those paying more (Cabin + ¼ Boat Hire + Rod for example for $153.75) are seeing where their extra dollars are going.

Booking:

When you are booking I will need the following details emailed to me (please cut and paste this exact template with accurate details): angus@australianfishing.com.au

Name: (John Smith)

Username: (Fisherman)

Email Addres: (fisherman@fishing.com)

Mobile Phone: (0055 Fish)

Package: (Base Rate: $75 + Boat: $95 + Cabin: $50 + Fishing Rod: $5)

Total: $225

Please take your time filling in the above information and sending the email. As you can appreciate its far more information to get right this year so accuracy will be king.

Please make payments direct to Brisbane Fishing Online (Please reference FULL NAME & WINTER CAMP - eg JOHN SMITH WINTER CAMP):

Feedback of new pricing welcome. Cant see anyone complaining though as it works out cheaper no matter how you go about it.

Please once again ill draw your attention to the bookings and being accurate with what you send me.

Its going to be a pretty detailed spread sheet ill need to make so please be accurate and clear.

Also in the interest of getting as many people on the water as possible I would encourage members with boats to use their own (as oppsed to the camp boats) and take on deckies if possible. Maroon is not electric only vastly opening up the field to who can attend.

Need to check when uni exams are if im clear of those then hopefully i can make it to my first winter camp :)

Giddy up me too! My calendar is looking pretty clear for this weekend and hopefully it stays that way.

Going to see if I can rope in some new members to come with as well.

I should be right for this. I might camp with my family next to the lake and just fish in the yak on saturday. My little sister (11yrs old) will be there so will there be a juniors category?

Is there an option for just the event and no food???

Cheers

i will be there, just deciding on the camping or cabin option. soooo looking forward to the best event of the year.

some house rules first, no snoodling (jords :P ) no space docking or shamboling either :P

will work on a prize list and maybe a raffle as well same as last year :)

Count 2 of us in Angus for the base rate.

I will complete the email and send the money through now.

Thanks

Lance

Guys I should make this more clear...

The base rate still needs to have 1 form of accomadation added it.

Either Camping or cabins...

Thus the cheapest the event can be is Base Rate + Camping = $105...

Sorry to be a pain but there are no half entries, or entries excluding base rate. The idea is to come for the whole thing or there is not muc point. Otherwise people would all day trip and it would ruin the actual point. It was tried once and it was the same day time effort for staff with no benefit managing all the day trippers.

It's gotta be the cabin Rob - imagine the destruction that could be caused in a tent lol

yeah i like the new pricing system very good base rate + camping + own boat and lures/bait is a cheap weekend. i want a cabin and shrimp so iwill send my entry through as soon as the shrimp price is up B)

Mate shrimp will be available for pusrchase on site for reasonable prices.

They wont be factored into the pre purchase price but I will put the price up once I know so people know what to expect.

I will also add a list of prizes once I know myself!

Safe to say there will be some lures available, maybe a rod etc.
