queensland A few days at Fraser

Hi all, Just got back from a few days at Fraser. Stayed in a house at Eurong, and managed to get onto a few tailor, although they were far from thick. However, we did manage to land a nice Spanish Mackerel from the beach almost in front of Eurong. Also, a few reefies and bream from a trip to the calm side. All in all, an enjoyable trip.

Buen pescado !!

Especially from the beach at Eurong. What tide was it ? Was it caught on a pillie or tailor ?

Good to see a few tailor landed too.

Oh sorry, I read wrong. I thought it said near the beach.

Caught just on dark, on an incoming tide, on a dirty old pilly!

One thing I will say is, pound for pound, you must get more meat off a Spaniard than just about any other fish! Especially if you steak it, which we did.

To be fair Steve, when you catch big fish as regularly as Greg you get a bit over doing lengthy reports ...... .

Probably. However it's not really a fishing specific trip as I'll be with my girlfriend. Will fish for food definitely, but not all day or anything
