My boys first Fish.

I decided it was time for a Dad and 3YO fishing trip this arvo.

I took Sam out to a mates place at Jimboomba to fish his backyard Dam.

The Dam is about 25 x 25 mtres.

Rigged up the lines. Just a simple baited floating hook.

Bait we used was either Bread or Burger Rings.

Not huge fish but a great time had by all.

The dam has been stocked previously with the Silver Perch. However got a couple of Bass as well. The dam has never had any bass put in it.

Apparently went it rains all the local dams flow into each other.

Great shots there... and you could have done the old switcheroo and give the fish to Mum to 'prepare' while the boys drink to their success and talk it up big time.

Mum returns in no time with the fish all prepped into pieces that are 4 inch x 1 inch slabs crumbed and all!

That fish is nearly as big as him!

I took my 7 week old Chocolate Labby for his first yak today down at Southport and we caught a monster wolf herring!! Should have seen his face when I pulled it into the yak! :laugh:
