I'll be there, how much or which days is yet to be decided, it is christmas party season. Kilcoy club's party is on the saturday, and I would probably go to that.

Just a quick update.

We are currently finalising the prizes, entry forms and rules for this years 2008 BRC.

Expect more news on this in the next day or two.

Ok everyone,

the 2008 BRC Rules and Conditions and 2008 BRC prizes are now up on the website. Find them under the Brisbane River Classic tab on main menu.

Please note there are a few changes to this years comp so please read through the rules (notably the change to individuals instead of teams. Also there are some changes to the categories (Photo and Release for Catfish and Shark categories etc).

Well have a good read and let us know any errors. The online registration should be up tomorrow and for people that like to send in an entry form the PDF entry form will be up tomorrow as well.

We are open to suggestions so feel free to list them in the 2008 BRC event suggestions forum, however they will be reviewed and more likely be looked upon when doing next years competition.

Yes thats correct. After alot of thought this was chosen for several reasons (with some being prizes dont really suit a team but rather an individual, administration is easier and allows a simpler registration process for everyone)

We can still fish as teams in team colours etc? just all weigh ins are done on an individual basis?

Ive done our uniforms up so we are still going to be flying the team colours Be a shame for them to goto waste.

Happy to sponsor a team prize or something of the likes Angus? Best dressed team etc.
