Hey Guys, Im keen to give this a go. Im very new to the whole fishing thing so I will ask some questions if thats ok...

I have a 6ft jarvis bay rod with basic line , will that be ok?

What type of lure and jig should I be looking to use?

Is there anything I need to know prior to the event?

Jeff, you gear will do, try a fewe slugs, (chrome metal lures) get down to Big W, get a couple of Berkley or Kokoda G Vibes(might be "ET" branded)that will give you a reasonable shot at getting something.
